Raffles Hotel Pool Deck, Dubai

The Odd Duck is collaborating with Lulie Fisher Design Studio on the refurbishment of the pool deck and pool bar at the iconic Raffles Dubai - Wafi. Expanding over 1000 sqm, the space features a barbecue F&B outlet, a pool bar, family area with splash pads, private dining cabanas as well as an expansive sun lounging space alongside the feature pool. The Green Beetle captures the rich and whimsical history of Ancient Egypt and combines it with the refined luxury of the Raffles brand and the dynamic nature of Dubai. Upon entering the pool deck, guests are greeted with a feature green wall showcasing a jewel-like Green Beetle logo. The strategically layered deck seamlessly steps down onto the main pool area ensuring that all guests enjoy the view while experiencing a sense of privacy. The bespoke cocoons extending across the facade act as both noise barriers as well as design features that can scale up and down to cater for the various functions of the venue. The pool finish is one of the key features of the space showcasing a contemporary and captivating artwork reminiscent of the Flora & Fauna depicted in the Ancient Egyptian papyrus paintings.
